How we
work

Looking for a team of passionate professionals to create your game? Whether you’re thinking of a clever serious game or an exciting entertainment product, the prospect might feel a little overwhelming. That’s why we made a brief overview of the process at LuGus. Here’s how we work.

Sit down with us

First off: let’s get to know each other. We’ll gladly invite you to our studio in Hasselt to meet the team for an informal chat. You can tell us all about the vision you have, the problem you want to solve, the goal you are trying to reach,... Vice versa, we can talk about how we see things, what we can help you with, or anything else you might like to know.

The heart of the matter

Together, we figure out exactly what it is you need and help you talk our language. We find a good balance between a realistic scope and budget, and the room to dream.

The vision

We take the project from ideas to plans. It’s simple: you are the expert in your field, we are experts in ours. Let’s make each other smarter. Together, we lay the groundwork for an attractive and effective game. Depending on your needs, we research and create proposals about game concepts, visuals, play style, target audience, deployment, …

Step by step

Our team goes to work! But... even the smallest game consists of a bunch of components. We start with prototypes of central mechanics and concepts, either on paper or on the screen, and gradually work our way outwards to the smallest details. We keep you in the loop throughout the process.

Best-laid plans

Game projects are not houses: they’re not built from the ground up in one stretch.  In an iterative design process, based on feedback and user tests, we revisit and refine all parts of the game until we have an optimal result.

And beyond...

The game is ready to take on the world! Of course, it doesn’t stop there. We can advise you on launching, distributing or marketing your project, and will gladly offer maintenance and support.
